Why your mortgage interest is not deductible penny by penny

1. You can’t use itemized deduction since STD is more favorable; -  結論：抵稅錢不能少花；

    and

2. Even you elect “itemized”, there is sth called Phaseout of itemized deductions : Income Phaseout need to Add Back

The IRS limits itemized deductions after the following income thresholds - 2009:

For Married filing Separate taxpayers the threshold is $83,400 and for all other filing statuses the threshold is $166,800.

結論：繳稅錢不能多掙。
