1966年8月18日毛澤東在天安門城樓
今天早上看到日期突然想到，從1966年的8月18日到現在已經43年了。這麽多年來還
是第一次想到這個曾被稱為“紅衛兵的紀念日”的日子。
雖然過了40多年，仍然記得很清楚，8月17日的下午接到通知，晚上在學校集合，準
備去天安門廣場參加遊行活動。晚上，幾個班的紅衛兵都集中在一間教室裏，那時
誰也不知道究竟是要參加什麽樣的活動。快8點多鍾的時候接到通知，準備出發。路
上，大家討論/推舉代表上天安門城樓。
到了天安門廣場以後，被告知任務是負責在麵對天安門的長安街一側負責維持次序，
保證遊行的人們不會進入廣場。大家背靠背的就地坐下，開始唱歌，印象最深的就
是《東方紅》中的那首“抬頭望見北鬥星”(紅軍戰士想念毛澤東)，望著夜空中閃爍
的星星，不知道唱了多少邊。大家都很興奮，這是我們這些中學生第一次自己在外邊
一起過夜。大家彼此相告，將永遠記住這一天。當時8月深夜的北京，天氣還是很涼
的，大家不時起來跑、跳。近黎明時，廣場才安靜下來。
天亮以後，大家站好隊，手挽手開始維持次序。遊行開始後，全場都是呼喊聲。唯
一有印象的就是後來遠遠地看到在天安門城樓的一側，有一個人向遊行的隊伍揮舞
帽子。其它的情況都是後來看到報導才知道的。
有種說法，就是在這一天，“毛主席戴上“紅衛兵”袖章，把紅衛兵運動推向了高
潮。”也是“從這天起，紅衛兵開始衝出校園，走向社會，大破“四舊”。"(注)
文化大革命對國家和人民都是一場空前未有的浩劫，其造成的損失以及曆史的教訓
仍未得到完全的總結。開時參加這場”運動“的中學生，幾乎全都是出於"熱愛黨，
熱愛毛主席，有樸素的感情", "紅衛兵現象是當時青年學生精神信仰的體現，決非
是“社會邪惡”。紅衛兵的主體是新中國成立前後出生的整整一代“生在新中國，
長在紅旗下”的年輕人，他們後來又被稱為“老三屆”. (注)
可以說，這一天也是他們這一代人經曆曆史的磨難和曆練的開始。曆史無法重寫，年
青人的政治熱情往往與產生的社會效果不成比例。這一代人對這段經曆也許有不同
的體驗，但無疑，它成為他們認識自己生活的這個國家、社會的無法替代的教科書。
結論是相同的，文化大革命這樣的“運動”是國家和社會的悲劇，應有製度確保它
永遠不會重演。
