The year of Rat

As we all know, 2008 is the year of Rat.  I was born in a year of Rat. 

I was told again I'd better wear something red in this year.  Several days ago, I found a necklace with red thread for myself and decided to wear it until the end of 2008.   Does that sound crazy?  

Actually, in 1996, another year of Rat, I was young, at least much younger.  I was told to wear something red.   I thought it was absurd that wearing red stuff could have such a power that makes people spend his year smoothly, so I didn't wear anything red on purpose.  It turned out everything went wrong even since the beginning of that year.  I almost couldn't pull through that year.   I have to admit, I was kind of relieved when 1997 was coming.   That was really wired feeling.  

So, this year, no matter what, I will keep wearing something red the whole year long.   I know, many of you would say, "you are too superstitious!"  Maybe, I am. Maybe I am not.   I am just not as confident as 12 years ago, but I am still eager to have a smooth year without a lot of ups and downs.

At last, I wish all the people who were born in the years of Rat have a smooth 2008 too.
