遞交I-485，是不是一定要等5年才能遞交？

Question: 遞交I-485，現在排期是2003年1月，是不是一定要等5年才能遞交？
中間可以換工作，但不能換研究方向。這裏的研究方向範圍有多寬？比如有機化學研究藥物的合成，那麽以後所換的工作也必須是這個嗎？

Answer: The NIW application is in the EB2, so you must wait for the EB2 visa becoming "current" to submit your I485 application. It may not have to be 5 years, but it can be more then 2 years.

Here, the job change is in the "same field". There is no exact defination of the "field". But common sense tald us it should not be too far way.
