請教：怎麽進入DOS狀態下的屏幕來修改Boot.ini File?

請教：一台POWER個人電腦，因啟動過程中循環不斷，不能進入正常啟動狀態，後用
廠家給的Recovery DVD選擇Non-destructive Recovery操作，結果還是不斷循環，

循環中出現“System error: Lsass.exe
When trying to update a password the return status indicates that the value provided as the current password is not correct.”的提醒，

後經網上搜索得到提示，按F8進入safe mode 啟動狀態，但啟動後還是進入不斷循環。從新按F8進入safe mode 啟動狀態，選擇Windows XP Media Center Edition啟動，結果出現：
“Winnt_root\\System32\\Hal.dll missing or corrupt:Please re-install a copy of the above file.”的提醒，

又通過網上搜索得到提示需要Edit the Boot.ini File in Windows XP ，是不是需要進入DOS狀態下的屏幕來修改Boot.ini File？怎麽進入？
