LDK Solar Signs a 10-Year Agreement for the Supply of Wafers to Neo Solar
Xinyu City, China and Sunnyvale, CA, January 17, 2008 — LDK Solar Co., Ltd. (NYSE: LDK), a leading manufacturer of multicrystalline solar wafers, announced today that it has signed a ten-year contract to supply multicrystalline solar wafers to Taiwan-based Neo Solar Power Corp.(NSP).
Under the terms of the agreement, LDK will receive a cash deposit from NSP and pricing will befixed for the entire contract period. During this period, LDK Solar will deliver approximately 500MW multicrystalline solar wafers to NSP with delivery commencing in 2009.

Scheuten成立於1950年，總部在荷蘭，是歐洲曆史最悠久的太陽能公司。10月9日，公司董事長Jacques Scheuten和首席執行官（CEO）Leon Giesen分別訪問了新日光的董事長和首席執行官，祝賀新日光首次公開募股，並簽署合約。
目前，Scheuten分別在德國、比利時、西班牙、意大利、法國和韓國設立了分部。
台灣行業觀察者指出，新日光贏得這項合約，表明其技術與生產能力已得到Scheuten的信任。新日光的生產水平被公認為一流，與德國一線製造商Q-Cells不相上下。最近，新日光推出了一種名為"超級電池"（"Super Cell"）的高性能技術。這種電池的光電轉換率在16%以上。目前，多晶電池的平均轉換率為15.4%。
