關於心理障礙、壓抑、心靈創傷的心理輔導:

其實一般的醫院均有精神科，大的醫院還分兒童和成人(Children/Adults Mental Institution)如:
Jewish General Hospital, Vistoria Hospital, Montreal General Hospital 及 Notre Dame Hospital 等。而心理醫生亦分兩種:

Psychiatry doctor: 如有太陽卡醫療免費，藥物自費；住院治療全免--側重藥物治
療附以心理輔導。
Psychologist doctor: 視個人經濟情況而定，但私立的不論經濟如何均需收費--以
心理輔導為主加以藥物治療。

但是西醫側重藥物治療，而西藥Anti-Depressant 往往有很大的副作用；尤其當病人住院治療，由於有些醫務人員不尊重精神病人，往往病人無謂的白受委屈。這些是大家必須注意的。

應該說，很多病人均因遭受極大的壓力、打擊或刺激精神承受不了才得病的。他們需要得到人們的理解、尊重、體貼和關懷遠遠勝過藥物治療，遺憾的是這兒的心理醫生往往隻側重藥物，強調病人體內的化學成分平衡，其結果是病人的病情越治越糟。本人深有體會:

The Argyle, a unique non-profit, charitable organization that was established in Montreal in 1982, to provide counselling and psychotherapy services, and to be a post-degree training facility for mental health professionals. 中國人一盤散沙的現象人人痛之，然而一盤散沙現象的存在其實便是因為形形色色的歧視作崇。在國內最起碼有親戚朋友互助，情況還好一點；然在海外孤身奮鬥便更不容易了。因此最好的方法是不要再抱有區域，貧富，文化層次概念之偏見理應互相提攜，同舟共濟；萬事由自己做起--關鍵是平時多關心一些他人，為他人做一些力所能及的事。

無論在國外，即便在國內。無論在加國主流社會或我們華人自身群體內，歧視現象無所不在。要想減少歧視，事情本身還得從我們群體內做起，更應該從自身做起。與其唱高調，不如做一些實事。不在乎做多少，也不要在乎他人在不在做；關鍵是自己能否持之以恒地去做。這樣最起碼我們的社團會獲得加國主流社會的尊重和認可，使一些本不應該發生的悲劇和冤案消除在萌芽之中。

這裏的大學一般有秋季(每年的9月---12月), 冬季(每年的1月--4月), (夏季) 學期( 5月到8月), 一般學生入學是在秋季, 也有部分在冬季,但是很少在夏季有新生入學的.

秋季入學報名申請截止時間根據各個學校不同而不同, 有的是4月底, 5月初, 特別是一些比較熱門的專業, 有的學校是6月底, 冬季報名好像是截止10月底, 具體要求請看他們的網站,跟學校的入學管理中心聯係. 學校的人基本都很有教養,所以不用擔心自己語言不好, 不清楚,就打電話跟他們聯係.記住,一定要邁出第一步,否則,永遠學不好語言.

附件4 -- 電話卡在公用電話上的用法


1、在機場（溫哥華或蒙特利爾，任意加拿大城市）找一個公用電話亭（通常有Bell-貝爾電話標誌），隻要是投幣電話，拿起電話不用投幣，直接撥：1-866-236-0338。

2、接通後聽一小段錄音（英文提示輸入電話卡密碼），然後輸入十二位數字的密碼：xxxxxxxxxxx。

3、再聽一小段錄音（英文提示剩餘金額及提示輸入對方號碼），輸入我的十一位手機號碼 xxxxxxx 或者家裏電話 xxxxxxxxx，輸完號碼再按一下“#”字鍵。

4、然後就會聽到錄音提示能通話多少分鍾（不用擔心，卡是剛買的，包括下麵那張備用的，都未使用過，金額肯定足夠），再往下應該就可以聽到振鈴音了。有時接通或是振鈴音會慢一些，稍稍耐心等一下。

5、如果不通，可掛機後再重複1-4步驟，直至接通為止。如果試了多次都不通，可使用下一組電話號碼（xxxxxxxxxxx）和密碼（xxxxxxxxx），其他操作步驟一樣。
