10Steps to get best tires

Everyone wants the best tire but there's not real "best" tire because every tire has to balance opposing needs such as grip vs wear, steering response vs ride comfort so if looking for tire recommendation please try and answer the following when you tell us what you're looking for:

In order to make a accurate recommendation we need info such as:
1).  What geographical area are you in?
2).  How aggressively you drive?
3) . Typical highway cruising speed?
4).  Average amount of miles driven per year?
5) . Since there is a trade-off betwen grip and treadwear, how many miles do you expect out of your tires?
6) . If you had to choose, what would you rather have - sharp steering response or better ride comfort?
7).  If you had to choose, what would you rather have - sharp steering response or less impact noise over bumps, tar strips etc?
8) . Do you know your current tires are? What have you like or disliked about them?
9).  How important of a factor is tread noise at highway speeds? Is a little more tread noise something that will drive you crazy or not really an issue to you?
10).  Is your car modified? If so how?
