耶路撒冷(Jerusalem)

今年正月十五的月亮，我是在耶路撒冷老城(Old City)的大馬士革門
(Damascus Gate)下看到的。幾千年的衝突和血腥，使得夜空下的明月
顯得淒慘和悲涼。

耶路撒冷是三大宗教的聖地。東邊的老城(Old City)方圓不足一平方公裏。
象紫禁城一樣有城牆圈衛。集中了猶太，基督和伊斯蘭的聖中之聖：

猶太教的哭牆(Wailing Wall),
基督教的聖墓大教堂(Holy Sepulchre),
伊斯蘭教的金頂清真寺(Dome of the Rock).

這三個“聖中之聖”又都集中在老城最東邊約300米寬400米長的方形
聖殿山(Temple Mount)上。

猶太人是值得同情的。他們來得最早。建起了聖殿。卻一次次地被征服，
驅逐和毀殿。隻剩下一堵西牆。猶太人來此哭悼過去，西牆便成了哭牆。

阿拉伯人和巴勒斯坦人來得最晚。他們的清真寺建得也晚。所以保存得
最好。耶路撒冷的金頂清真寺(Dome of the Rock)其實隻是他們的第三聖地：
默罕莫德升天之地。另兩個聖地都在沙特阿拉伯的麥加(Makkah)。

基督教的聖墓大教堂(Holy Sepulchre)最複雜。至今有五個教派共同擁有。
各自占據教堂內之一角來朝拜。

耶路撒冷老城南邊的錫安門(Zion Gate)外是"最後的晚餐"發生地
(Room of the Last Supper)。

耶路撒冷老城以東是著名的橄欖山(Mount of Olives)。那裏有耶穌被猶大出
賣抓走的橄欖園(Garden of Gethsemane)以及耶穌母親Mary的墓(Tomb of Mary)。

耶穌和母親告別後，羅馬士兵押著他入耶路撒冷老城，走完最後的路。
即著名的Via Dolorosa大街。
