Ground Elder: 26 April 2008 in Woodheys Park
Ground Elder can be found in almost every park in UK. If you plant a little bit of its roots in your garden, it spreads so quickly that you may not be able to get rid of it in a couple of years.
The young shoots (in my hands) can be a very tasty vegetable. It smells like celery. You can fry it. Some friends use it to make dumpling (餃子). Warning: Do not collect it if you are not sure.
It is good for gout (痛風) and rheumatism (風濕).
