We had a very hectic May. Lucy had been sick for quite long. After she recovered, we all were exhausted, and had a holiday.
Julia is thriving, since she was 9 mon old, she has started cruising around, from holding mummy daddy’s both hands to holding on the furniture or her walker by herself. And she is not 10 Month old yet!
Julia is very good at making herself understood, she can say few words, like dada, baba, mama, nana (for banana) boo, woof. She used to say mama when she saw the food, or wanted to be fed.
Now mama is for mummy. She shakes her head when she does not like something or food, and smiles and points at food which is acceptable.
Her favourite game is peek-boo, and she uses her blanket, toys and her plate to play.
She is very cheeky. Here are two accidents last month to illustrate her cheekiness.
Once I left her with some toys and a biscuit sitting in the middle of the kitchen floor when I was prepare girls tea (dinner). There was a bottle for laundry liquid near the washing machine. I was very sure the bottle was out of her reach. After less 5 mins, She was not babbling any more, so I turned my head around. I couldn’t believe my eyes, she was sitting in big pool of the washing liquid, ticking her legs, quite slippery and fun, some on her face, around her lips, her biscuit was covered as well!
Lucy’s comment: Julia made the biggest mess in the world!!!!
Julia likes to stand on her high chair to help me cooking sometimes too. She wants to know what is going on. Once she was there, I moved things away from her on the working surface. There was a big glass salad bowl with cooked lentils soup (that was 500g dry lentils). I made sure she couldn’t reach it. However I was wrong again! In blink time, there was a big crush, and next thing biggest mess in the world again, lentils and glass everywhere on the kitchen floor. And Julia, one foot standing inside the high chair, she managed to swing one foot over high chair side handle standing on the edge of high chair. That was how she got the bowl, I guess.

The days I need to chase after her all the time are coming soon.
