Visa Extension rejected, help!

My mom\'s visa extension got rejected; she has to leave in 30 days. She has Hongkong passport and multiple entry visa for 10 years. My question is, if she leaves U.S. and come back right away, could she get a reasonable stay duration (>3 months)? Or will she be refused to enter U.S? Any bad record if she does that? Anybody has the experience or any advice?

Also, is it helpful to hire a lawyer to appeal for the extension? I have a baby, it is really hard to find a nanny or daycare within 30 days.
