what’s with the trilogies these days? I bet you that if gone with the wind were published nowadays it would be a trilogy too.
Nonetheless. The fifty shades series is the ultimate romantic fantasy with a more than generous serving of graphic “kinky fuckery”.
It’s probably every girl’s dream/fantasy to be loved by a gorgegous gzillionare who has eyes only for her. And he’s a sexpert, a control freak who’s into bdsm fetishes only makes the story that much less boring, that much more gratifying. It’s no epic literature but it sure is engaging.
And it left me in a daze for quite a few days.
I’m re-reading it now, focusing on the give and take between the 2 main characters … aside from all the naughty bits.
Truth is ... reading fantasy always leaves me incredibly sad. It magnifies everything that’s lacking in my life. It makes me want to listen to sad songs and drape myself with self pity.
