Coupling vs. Sex and City

Coupling is a BBS SitCom. Sex and City is an HMO comedy.

 

Both are sex-themed and smile/laugh inducing, though in very different ways.

 

Coupling is shallow and funny. And you forget about it the minute it’s off.

 

Sex and City is humorous pretentious and smart. It over-complicates over-analyzes the already convoluted human chemical relationships and it addicts you. It can leave you crying as much as it can make you laughing.

 

The women in Sex and City have good fashion sense.

 

The women in Coupling pretty much wear couch cover or carpets.

 

The men in coupling are appallingly bad-looking without even trying.

 

The men in Sex and City come in great variety and some of them warrant fancy.

 

If I can only watch one of the two shows, pretentious is the way to go.
