apple: granny smith. green, crispy and a little sour. sour is actually a better taste than sweet. nobody else in the family appreciate it though, they'd rather eat a fuji apple, which is very sweet. the local grocery store have a lot of different apples. I tried to buy different ones every time. but always ended up forgetting which one is good and which one is bad and so far could only manage to remember some of the very common ones such as granny smith and fuji :)
dark chocolate: chocolate is not a flavor, it is a state of mind. I want it when I want to feel good and satisfied. it allures. but good chocolate is rare. it has to have have the good balance of bitterness and sweetness. bitter but not harsh, sweet but not overwhelming. it has to be creamy too, because it represents fat, the kind of food which excites our animal instinct the most. good chocolate reminds me of the artworks of Max Ernst. they are both dark, rich, can be wild, a little strange but just what I like.
cooking shows: although I am a clumsy cook most of the time, I still enjoy watching cooking shows. my imagination go wild imaging the taste while watching these shows. and the colors and textures of the food are just mouth watering sexy.
