謝謝你，就是這首。它讓我想到自己小時候在麥收時節在田裏拔麥子的情景，而中國北方現在大概正處於麥收的尾聲，因此顯得格外親切。不過我們中國人種的是冬小麥，就是wheat,不是 barley大麥。大麥是低產作物，不能當主食，在我家鄉，大麥隻是在菜園裏種上幾壟，麥收時不等成熟就拔下來，麥粒磨不成麵粉，隻是成疙瘩狀，再放到鍋裏蒸熟，用鹽、香油、蒜等拌著吃，是解饞的，不是解飽的。不知歌中唱的大麥是否指這種。不過看開頭場麵，那也是小麥，而不是低產作物大麥。大麥與小麥的區別從外表一看便知，大麥的芒長，大約一個手指長，而小麥則比指甲稍長，我猜著，大麥小麥的區別，大概就是從芒的長短來區分的，因此不如叫長短麥。當然味道也不同，平時從商店買的大麥片，或大麥仁作粥，口感滑膩，而小麥口感則澀爽，這一點大家恐怕都有體驗。
再者，亨利說讓你教會大家如何尋找歌曲。這對別人當然可以。不過我想他並不理解我的心思。他不知道我們倆之間曾經有過約，你給予我特殊的眷顧，答應我，如果需要什麽，就告訴你，你就會給我找。因此自己找與你幫我找，意味頗有不同。打個比方，我現在需要一束鮮花，我完全可以到花店自己去買，但你卻送給我一束，同樣是鮮花，但這兩束一樣嗎？當然不一樣。你送給我的自然要格外添加一層溫馨。因此我寧願麻煩你幫我找，而我想這是你我兩情相悅的事，恐怕你不會對我的想法存有異議吧？
