My daughter was offered $3000/yr scholarship

for four years (total $12000) from our state Board of Higher Education when she made the semifinalist, but she can use it only if she chooses to attend any state colleges. She also got $1000 from one of the universities when she made the finalist this spring. For the students who made the finalist, $2500 is the highest you can get, and then it varies by sponsors, some may not get any additional money at all. The chance the students use those scholarship is very low, because they are usually accepted by the best colleges out of the state or offered full merit scholarship from State colleges.
