Nobel Prize in Literature

There is a rumor floating around that 嚴歌苓 will win the Nobel prize in literature this year. Even though the choices in the past have been suspect for the Nobel prize committee, I think 嚴歌苓 deserves it. She is one of 3 contemporary Chinese writers I like. The other two are Wang Shuo and Liu ZhenYun. I read most of her novels. My favorite is the 穗子 series. It feels a bit auto-biographical. In many cases, a writer's best work is auto-biographical, according to Wang Shuo. I like these 3 writers a lot and I consider them the best among Chinese writers. But I have to admit they are not as good as some writers in other countries. 村上春樹 is the best among all nationalities in my oppinion.I tried to find some normalcy today. It felt a bit like 14 years ago. But only on the surface. Taciturn is the word for me. People may think I wasn't interested. But sometimes it was the opposite.
