　　鄉下的周全來到大城市裏投奔大哥周奉，周奉與妻子楊娟的日子過得本來就不是那麽寬鬆。於是決定將弟弟周全送回鄉下。此時恬逢周奉公司裏的新任總裁提攜，讓周奉從一個小小的職員升到總裁助理，這對他來講簡直就是“平步青雲”。正因如此，使得周全以為哥哥對他說了假話。於是他決定瞞著哥哥留下來，並要在城裏混出個樣兒來……
　　周奉走馬上任後，如履薄冰。天天麵對著總裁的考驗。所幸妻子楊娟、小姨子楊菊和侄女彤彤的“傾情支持”，三個“臭皮匠”組成了大後方的智囊團。事業有所成就的周奉，一咬牙，買下一間垂涎已久價值百萬的豪宅。可惜好景不長，周奉被繁重的工作壓力逼得喘不過氣來，更有“心懷不軌，蓄謀已久”的同事高遙在他身後捅軟刀子。終於，周奉倒下來了，他失業了，真的失業了……
　　弟弟周全，自己開了一家舊貨公司，而且生意一天天紅火起來。周奉看著弟弟一步步走出了自己的天地，於是他決定背水一戰，開起了一家小小的裝修公司。然而，不懂得經商的他會走向何方？被生活剝得一絲不掛的他，還能撐得起這個家嗎？
