人生的四季
——By John Keats
Four Seasons fill the measure of the year;
四季輪回構成了一年，
There are four seasons in the mind of man:
人的心靈也有四季更替：
He has his lusty Spring, when fancy clear
他有生機勃勃的春天，
Takes in all beauty with an easy span:
在幻想中把所有美景一覽無餘；
He has his Summer, when luxuriously
在那奢華繁盛的夏天，
Spring's honied cud of youthful thought he loves
他愛把春天采集的花蜜細細品嚐，
To ruminate, and by such dreaming high
沉浸在甜美的青春思緒中，
Is nearest unto heaven: quiet coves
他高高飛揚的夢想幾乎升上天堂；
His soul has in its Autumn, when his wings
秋天他的心靈棲息在寧靜的港灣，
He furleth close; contented so to look
他收攏了疲倦的羽翼，
On mists in idleness?to let fair things
休閑而滿足地透過霧氣遙望，
Pass by unheeded as a threshold brook.
任美好的事物像門前的小溪不經意地流逝。
He has his Winter too of pale misfeature,
他終將走進冬天的蒼涼晚景，
Or else he would forego his mortal nature.
不然他就失去了凡人的本性。
約翰·濟慈，(1795—1821），英國曆史上最傑出的詩人作家之一，浪漫派的主要成員。他才華橫溢，與雪萊、拜倫齊名。濟慈去世時年僅25歲，可他留下的詩篇譽滿人間，其中包括《夜鶯頌》和《致秋天》等名作。他主張“美即是真，真即是美”，擅長描繪自然景色和事物的外貌，表現景物的色彩感和立體感，重視寫作技巧，語言追求華美，對後世抒情詩的創作影響極大。他的詩篇總能帶給人們身臨其境的感受。
