The Concert experience

My friend joined a very professional choir.  And she gave me a ticket to watch their performance. I am those people who will be curious about anything.  She told me it is very classical.  I never see one before and I decide to go.

I was late for 10 minutes when I got there.  I had to slowly sneek into the church.

My first reaction when I heard the music is :  WOW
My second reaction is WHAT ARE THEY SINGING? It is not English.  All right, it is not spanish. I understand Korean and Japanese. And it is not any asian language. It is close to Italian. but I am not sure.

My third reaction is: what are the people doing around there? OK< they are reading the booklet about the concert, WAIT, I see lyrics on the booklet.  So I read all the lyrics to try to catch up where they are.  NO!!, my skill level is still low, not to the point to catch yet.

The average age in the audience is 45.  The gentlemen right next to me seems pretty young, but he surely knows all the songs because he is singing along.  At that point, my confidence level is dropping as the music goes.

I do not know what other people will do.  But since I am here, I need to enjoy my life.  This special, beautiful sound smooth my heart.  Even though I do not understand what are the meanings, I kind of like it.


When the break came, I accidently found some friends around.  And I found out where they are singing now. And my friends told me it is LATIN.  OH< that is beautiful.

You can guess what happen next.  I found all the songs in youtube and I read the lyrics and understand of all the songs they sing.  My poor husband had to listen to me to sing Latin.

Honey, what do you think I join the choir? ( I asked my husband)
What?  You do not have fever?
