1968年，《愛是藍色的》成為世界最流行的愛情歌曲，除了它的誕生地法國，世界各地都流行和喜歡這首情歌。《愛是藍色的》的歌詞作者是安德列·帕潑（Andre Popp），樂曲作者是彼葉爾·考爾（Pierre Cour）；都是法國人。當這首歌剛出現的時候，歐洲音樂比賽會的評委把它列為全歐洲的最後一個候選作品。到了1968年，通俗音樂家保羅·莫裏哀（Paul Maurriat）把這首歌作為他的大眾音樂會的一個節目上演，頓時被一位美國音樂出版商看中、並決定出版發行。在美國音樂出版商的推動下，1968年到1970年代，這首歌曲成了世界各地最流行的愛情歌曲，不但歌片和唱片保持了數年最高銷售量，而且，先後有350個知名藝術家把它作為自己的壓軸節目。盡管《愛是藍色的》在世界各地流行，然而，在它的誕生地法國，卻一直沒有流行起來。結果，世界各國許多地方、特別是在北美，都誤以為歌曲作者是保羅·莫裏哀。或許是不想在本國成為不受歡迎作品的作者吧，麵對世界誤解，歌曲原作者始終沒有出來辯解。於是乎，《愛是藍色的》的作者是保羅·莫裏哀的誤解幾乎就成了正解定局了。
《歌手Claudine Georgette Longet介紹》：
她出生在法國巴黎 (born January 29, 1942 in Paris)。這個女人可以說是“一生豐富多采”。她一生幹了兩件最出名的事。一件事是嫁給了世界著名歌唱家 Andy Williams，另一件事是槍殺了skiing star Spider Sabich。
Claudine Georgette Longet第一次遇到 Andy Williams 是在去拉斯維加斯的路上。好心的Andy Williams 把車子停靠路邊幫助這位漂亮的Claudine Georgette Longet 。那時的Claudine 是個跳舞的。倆人在 1961年聖誕結婚，之後並生育三個孩子。大概在60到70年代，唱過流行歌曲，跳過舞，演過電視劇，也頻頻出現在她丈夫主持的電視節目裏。被她的歌唱家丈夫 Andy Williams稱之為“他最喜愛的法國歌唱家”。但是倆人於1969分居，六年後倆人離婚。
和Andy Williams分開後，帶著三個孩子和她的戀人漂亮英俊的Olympic skier Vladimir "Spider" Sabich 住在了一起。這個蜘蛛俠也是個搶手貨，不乏女性崇拜者。不知道兩個人之間有了什麽深仇大恨，最後是蜘蛛俠死在Claudine 的槍下。槍殺了skiing star Spider Sabich後，她堅稱自己是無辜的。Andy WilliamsAndy Williams 一直非常支持前妻（不知當時有沒有離婚）。最後因證據不足，倒也沒受到什麽大的處罰，僅被罰一個月的義務勞動，還是周末去做。審判一過，她便和其辯護律師attorney Ron Austin去度了個假。Claudine 真是一個有魅力的女性，Austin 傾倒在其石榴裙下，拋棄妻子和孩子和 Longet 結婚。刑事受審後，從此Claudine Longet 再也沒有演出過。 Claudine Longet之後又被 the Sabich 家屬告上民事法庭，最後她給了Sabich 家屬一大筆錢了事。但是Sabich家屬不許其出書寫故事，也不許其在公共場合唱那首黑色幽默歌曲 "Bang Bang, My Baby Shot Me Down" 。
