I am a Southern, not good at making steam buns(with meat fillings or without)
Friend Bing gave me a link in Wenxuecity.com there is a post to teach how to make steam buns. According the recipe, I prepard the ingredients.
Besides yeast,flour,sugar, I prepard some ground pork, leeks, dried shiitake mushroom, edible black fungus,shrimp,mashed ginger and green onions to make the fillings.
Cut all the ingrediens to small, mashed and fixed all together to make nice fillings. Adding soy sauce, ground black pepper powder, a little bit cooking wine, a little bit oil etc for seasoning.The fillings is ready.
To make good dough, first 2 tsp yeast, mix with 1 1/4 cups of warm water and half tbsp of sugar.Put it away for 5 to 10 minutes to allow it become foamy in room temperature.
