| would you simply assume that US schools' literature reading would be good? I have noticed for a long time that Chinese Americans seem to have ahigh level of confidence when they post various US/state gov.recommended reading-lists. Some even praised these lists for theirappearance of comprehensiveness, especially older Chinese who stillremember how little was available when they attended schools in China. Have you ever questioned the quality of these gov lists? How good do you think US reading still is? |
