回答: 也談中國外匯儲備 由 天下無馬 於 2006-12-07 19:56:57 Like the US in 1920s as the world largest manufacturer, China is expanding herself into severe overcapacity. The trouble will start when the demand comes down as debt-laden US consumers are forced to cut back on consumption in order to finance the coming baby-boomer retirement.
China will then have to: 1. open new markets; and/or 2. destroy some capacity. This is what wars are meant to do in history.
For Chinese Americans who have established homes in US, think ahead: who will be the most convenient scapegoat the US politicians love to point out to the angry US consumers? One can always hide his head in the sand; but don't forget that when thing get really bad, it is most likely also the worst time to sell one's trapped assets.
Just "add some feet to your excellent painting of a snake" :)
