年紀雖小，眼光獨到
1896 年 3 月 1 日，哈裏·溫斯頓出生於美國，他的父親在 1888 年時開了一個小小珠寶店，自小耳濡目染，訓練出他對珠寶特別敏銳的觀察與鑒定力。 12 歲時，他以 25 分錢，在一家當鋪廉價出售的假珠寶中買到一顆 2 克拉重的祖母綠寶石，這段傳奇般的小故事，成為哈裏·溫斯頓珠寶生涯的開始。
開創獨特的商路
1920 年，年輕的哈裏，帶著存下的 2000 美金來到紐約，在第五大道開了一家“一人”公司： Premier Diamond Company ，專門經營鑽石買賣。為了在紐約珠寶界打出天下，幾經實驗與觀察後，他找到一個具有特性，競爭又少的路子低價收購舊珠寶飾品，卸下寶石，重新切磨，使它們變得耀眼光燦，再以當時最時髦的鑲法，鑲成嶄新的首飾出售。如此“汰舊換新”的手法為哈利開了條財路。兩年內就積下了不少的錢及珠寶存貨。不幸的是，這些錢與珠寶不久便被他的助手席卷而走。但身無分文的哈裏憑著他的膽識與信心很快便反敗為勝，從此以後，他的珠寶之路開始出現前所未有的坦途。
奇人軼事添佳話
1932 年，哈裏·溫斯頓已是一名成功的珠寶商，他結束了原來的小公司，以自己的名字為招牌，成立了新公司。他交遊極廣，豪富名媛，無不相識，自己也成為紐約社交圈中的名人。哈裏·溫斯頓珠寶店的顧客，包括了歐、亞各個大小王室：尼泊爾、印度、伊朗、沙特阿拉伯、摩納哥、英國等的王、後、王子、公主。還有美國本地的鐵路、石油、報業大亨、工商界巨子、政經領袖、電影明星（如瑪麗蓮·夢露、伊莉沙白·泰勒等），全是“世界級”的名人，不勝枚舉。有一回哈裏在日內瓦巧遇度假的某阿拉伯王，一口氣向哈利買了數百萬美金的珠寶，還意猶未盡，想再買 6 隻鑽石手鐲，當他見到哈裏的鑽石手鐲後，一下子被吸引住，竟然買下了 80 隻，這倒真是符合哈裏·溫斯頓“大氣派、高目標”的原則。
創造傑作
1949 年 11 月，哈裏·溫斯頓 推出了一個史無前例的展覽，定名為“珠寶宮”（ The Court Of Jewels ）。所展出的鑽石、寶石，幾乎都可冠上“世界之最”的美名。其中包括 46 克拉的希望之鑽（ Hope Diamond ）， 95 克拉的東方之星鑽石（ Star Of The East ）， 126 克拉的洋客鑽石（ Jonker ）， 337 克拉的凱瑟琳藍寶石（ Catherie The Creat Sapphire ）等碩大絕美的寶石，還有許多具有曆史價值的鑽石及祖母綠項鏈。 1978 年，哈裏逝世，他的兒子朗諾·溫斯頓成為接班人，他運用其所學知識，將家傳的事業帶入一個新紀元。 1990 年哈裏·溫斯頓鍾表（ UITmate Timepiece ）部門成立，製作出的手表與哈裏·溫斯頓出品的珠寶一樣珍貴，這些表全都由世界知名的 Lloyd's Of London 保險公司免費保一年的遺失、盜竊險，這樣的服務在首飾界尚屬首創。
頂級珠寶 Harry Winston 夢露般璀璨

從 2000 年起，品牌也開始推出男性功能表，每年都要邀請一位頂尖的獨立製表師，以特別創製的機芯結構，為 OPUS 係列再添新員。 2001 年的 Opus One 請到了Fran-cois-PualJOURNE ；次年的 Opus Two 則由 An-toinePreZiuso 擔綱，創造性地將萬年曆放置在表背，且全球僅限量供應 12 隻。物以稀為貴，也難怪影星梅爾·吉普森會以足夠買下一台小型潛水艇的 2.4 萬美元換得一塊 Harry Winston 的純白金表。
８月１日，擁有「鑽石王」美譽的Harry Winston腕表雖隻短短十多年的光景，由零開始的經營，卻已將其瑰麗的鑽石革命融入精密的腕表工藝上，成功打正rare timepiece的旗號。

剛於今年瑞士巴塞爾鐘表展發表的新作中，焦點之一可算是Knotted Marquesa，靈感來自大自然蝴蝶豔麗倩影，在鏤空的鉑金上以共重達24.5卡的欖尖形及圓形切割美鑽精緻地setting排列，絕對是sophistiscated之作，於腕表世界裏同樣創造華麗的jewelry piece。

‘crazy’ Opus 3 by Vianney Halter.

The time can be read
through 6 "portholes" through which 10 discs, rotating independently display the
hours (top outer portholes), the minutes (lower outer portholes) and the date
(center top and center lower porthole). To avoid the dial from being too static
before a change of hour or minute, the upper date aperture displays a countdown
of the final four seconds of the minute.

The movement, which
took almost 2 years to develop, comprises 2 distinct mechanisms: one for time,
the other for function. The time mechanism consists of the "traditional"
elements such as barrel, train, escapement etc.. whereas the function mechanism,
totally independent drives the discs. These discs (of a total of 10) are linked
by their axis to the time mechanism underneath. The movement of the Opus 3
consists of more than 250 components of which 98% were made by Vianey Halter
himself.

The Opus 3 broke all the rules of time display and design and is produced in
a limited series of 55 pieces, 25 in 18-carat rose
gold, 25 in platinum 950PT and 5 in platinum 950PT set with white Harry Winston
diamonds.
Christopher Claret continued the series with his
amazing musical Opus IV in 2004.

The 'traditional' Opus IV featured tourbillon, cathedral gong minute
repeater, date and large central moonphase on two separate dials.
