Saddam was just executed by the iraqi government officials few hrs ago, and he was considered as one of the notorious dictators in the world. At the same time, i wonder would Chairmao also be considered as a dictator? I am not trying to be slanderous, we should definitely give him credits for fighting against the japs back in the 1930s, but he also started the cultural revolution in the 60s, thousand hundreds of innocent chinese people were killed during the cultural revolution, and millions of chinese suffered from starvation in the early 60s. In addition, under Mao's leadership, China was not being a very competitive force back in the 70s. Thats why right after Mao's death, DengXiaoming issued the policy of "Four Modernization", which changed the outlook of China drastically in the next 10 or 20 yrs.
