　 　陸判神仙一向掌握凡間的生與死，某一晚，朱爾旦被王員外要脅到山神廟搬陸判之神像。朱一向瞻小如鼠，唯有硬著頭皮捧走神像，更不慎跌碎陸判像之生死冊， 於是陸判懲罰王員外，還叮囑朱把生死冊修補。陸判為了報答朱修好生死冊，使朱變成才子外還有天賦異品，連妻子也脫胎換骨。此後，朱爾旦之命運就被改變……
