My wife is from Shanghai and I am an American. I knew right away that she was special. She has a medical degree from China and an MBA from the US. Most of all I love her hot little Chinese butt! LOL
We met online and after dating for a while I asked her to marry me. She didn't accept at first. I kept offering her moving in with me and she finally said yes. I love being around her. I love her cute Chinese accent. I think it is hillarious that she thinks I am exotic with blue eyes and a big nose. She is hot with long hair and a sweet small nose.
It isn't always easy to be in an American-Chinese marriage. There are culture differences and communication gaps. But we work through it and grow in greater understanding and trust of each other. She brought a son to the marriage. The boy is such a sweetheart and a lovely cutie. Our family is truly blessed.
We certainly still have some challenges in life. But no relationship is easy. I am sure we will conque all the obstacles and move on to bigger things. Like hopefully having another child and moving into a bigger place.
I am writing to say it is all a great life experience. I love her very much and am very grateful for all she has been through to come and establish her life here with me.

A simple but touching essay. Yes, you are right. No relationship is easy, even between two Chinese people from the same culture background. God bless your family.
