DIY: Reseal Granite Countertop

Granite Kitchen Countertop 有三年沒seal了，今年無論如何要reseal了。先看一下用的產品和工具。

Countertop Cleaner。其實最好是買同一個品牌的，不過我半年前也不知道怎麽陰差陽錯買了這個cleaner，那就用吧。

Granite Sealer。Home Depot, Lowe's, Bed Bath and Beyond, Walmart之類的店都有，不同的品牌，挑一個就是了。我的這個是在BBB買的。

先把Countertop上的東西統統搬走。


滿滿地放了一整張 formal dinning room的dinning table。



reseal的工序是：

１。用countertop cleaner把countertop擦幹淨。我一共擦了兩遍。

２。幹了以後，上granite sealer。按說明，先噴一遍，等一分鍾，用paper towel把多餘的sealer擦掉。瓶子的說明上一再強調要用lint free的towel or cloth。我等第一遍幹了，又seal了一遍。

３。等sealer幹了，上polish。這是為了讓石麵看起來很光亮。和做sealer一樣，也是先噴，然後用lint free的dry towel to buff。

Done！

咦？做完以後看起來和做之前沒啥區別嘛！成就感差了一點點～ （當然那區別本來就不該是能肉眼看出來的）

Thanks for such practical and useful information. How often should we reseal the countertop? What will happy if we do not do it. I just bought a house which is 10 years old. Myabe I should reseal the top.
