1. 租車時，明明看好了是 不限裏程。可有的公司之不限裏程 （unlimited mileage），是有限製的。比如在多倫多租車，要開去魁北克，那麽就不是不限裏程，而是每天隻有200公裏免費裏程， 超過每公裏收費加幣兩毛。原因是魁北克與多倫多不在同一個省。

2. 保險。我在美國一般都是用信用卡租車，很大一個原因是信用卡公司可以負擔一部分保險的費用，特別是如果自己的保險沒有全險。如果去加拿大租車，有的公司會要求你出示保險證明，這個不是在美國的保險單據，而是要由你所在保險公司頒發的特殊證明，明確申明持有者在加拿大也受到在美國同樣的保護。Proof of auto insurance is required. U.S. insurance firms will issue a Canadian insurance card, which should be obtained and carried prior to driving into Canada. 

這些特殊要求往往都是用極小的字體，或是一個不起眼的鏈接給出的，很容易就被忽略了。如果不事先搞清楚，到了租車的地方，會給自己平添不必要的煩惱。
