成為COSTCO會員起碼近20年了。對它家的價格和服務都還算滿意。這次發生了一件事,讓我對它家更是刮目相看。
一年多前,在COSTCO買了一個CUISINART電壓力鍋。老婆喜歡用它作粥,主要優點是可以定時和保溫。比如晚上臨睡前把它設置好,第二天一早就有熱乎乎的粥喝,很省事。
前幾天,那鍋突然就壞了。插上電源就是沒反應。在確定了不是電源線和電源插座的問題後,我大概看了一下裏邊,基本是電線和集成版,沒看到有容易更換的保險。
好在包裝盒,說明書,發票都還在,看了一下保修期,是三年。
既然還在保修期,那就給廠家打電話。還算好,基本沒等幾分鍾就有真人接電話。把情況大致介紹了,那邊跟我要了產品序列號,然後確認產品還在保修期內。不過她說這個三年保修是有限保修,意思是廠家不負責運雜費。我的唯一選擇是:先交10刀運出費,廠家會寄給我一另外一個鍋,然後我要把舊的鍋寄回廠家。我問寄回去大概要多少錢,她說不清楚 (每天做這工作,會沒有個大概的概念?)我說我可以自己查,你告訴我這鍋大概多重就行。她說約 13磅。
我想收我10 刀運費,那回郵應該也不會貴多少。也還能接受,就給了信用卡號。也收到了回郵的地址。
完事後我到郵局的網站一查,才知道回郵最便宜的也要33刀。就是說為了保修一個70刀買的鍋,我要自己出43刀。忒過分了!
難道就我一個人這麽想?穀歌了一下對該鍋的評價,我看到了下邊這一條:

A Big Disappointment
Pros: when it worKed it was nice.

" I purchased this about 10 months ago to cooK a daily rice/meat combination for our dogs with food allergies. Initially it seemed to worK well, but after a few months it would reach pressure, and then instead of cooKing for the requisite time, it switched to "Keep warm".
I called customer service and first he told me that I wasn't adding enough water - every day it has 1/2# of meat, 1.5 cups rice and I fill it to the 14 level with water, it's almost impossible to add any more water. Then I asKed about warranty, he told me it was out of warranty - even though the warranty is 3 years (I've had it 10 months). Then he told me I would have to ship it to cuisinart on my own dime, then pay the shipping bacK. I figure it would cost $20 to ship at the USPS. I'm returning it to costco.
Cuisinart used to be a good name. But I'm encountering nothing but trouble with the last few items I've purchased (last problem was broKen panini grill).
So glad for Costco's return policy! "
提醒我的一句話是,這個人要去COSTCO 退貨。這麽不合理的保修條款,確實應該找COSTCO反映,也讓他們下次使用這個廠家時有所考慮。
我撥通COSTCO的客服,大概情況解釋了一下,那邊表示非常理解,還誇我辦事有秩序,包裝說明書發票都還在。而且說即使發票已經沒有了都沒關係,拿到店裏立刻全額退款!我都有些不敢相信。
既然如此,我立刻先給CUISINART的客服打電話,告訴他們不要給我郵寄替換的鍋了。那邊的人聽說我這裏可以拿到店裏退貨,也有些不大相信,說你真運氣。
昨天晚上去COSTCO, 退鍋非常順利。然後在他家又買了一個另外品牌的電壓力鍋,這樣老婆周末又有鍋用了。
有這樣好的客服,難怪COSTCO 的生意這麽火。我這近20年的會費,也算沒白交。
