My son sent his mom and dad a link presenting a new idea about Christmas gifts.

It seems a charitable Christmas gift has becoame more and more popular in the recent years. "Let's redefine Christmas. By putting more Thanksgiving in it." This is a message that the organization-justgive.org has being trying to convey to people. It is nice to think more about how to help charity and to help less fortunate people, especially at the holiday season. For some people, it may be a good way to make a gift more meaningful and appreciated.
However, I don't think I am ready to accept this idea. I put a lot of thinking to the Christmas gifts when I prepare them for my family members. That is one way to show my care and love. I always try to buy useful, meaningful gifts, so the money won't be wasted. I still like to see my family discovering their gift boxes under the Christmas tree. It is rewarding in watching the light of excitement shining through the children face and eyes -especially the young children. I think, at least we should preserve this part of holiday tradition for our children.
This year for my grown-up son, we may consider giving him a charitable Christmas gift if that is his wish.
