Being a scientist:

 

1. Asking the right questions.

2. Using the right techniques to test in the right systems. It takes time. However, it will pay off eventually.

3. Understand subtle differences and repeat your experiments in a different way.

4. Have the big picture in mind all the time.

5. Ready for different explanations and be open-minded.

6. Staying positive and creative, not just me-too.

7. Imperfection is the way to reach perfection.

8. Being patient to catch a big fish.

9. Try the impossible.

10. Read papers and take notes.

11. Keep an excellent lab notes.

12. Every day, show up for work with great intensity and joy.

13. I would love what I do, even I don’t get paid.

14. Practice writing everyday.

15. Talk with people and discuss science with them.

16. Talk with yourself about your science often.

17. Going back and challenging some fundamental concepts.

18. Not only talk the talk, try to walk the walk.

19. Time is always limited and always having priorities.

20. Have fun.
