問兩個英語單詞

1、辭職，除了resign還用什麽？我聽同事說好像defender，但是找了半天好像沒有這個意思。

花花：surrender(兩個音差得挺多的，我的聽力這麽差?^^|)

dictionary: surrender - to yield or resign (an office or privilege etc.) in favor of another.

lyylhw和西風雅雅說是tender，字典中說 to present formally for acceptance; make formal offer of: to tender one's resignation.

2、拿到兩個offer，第二個offer薪水比第一個高，於是第一家公司出相同的薪水聘請。這個用一個單詞怎麽說？

如果原來的公司也出相同的薪水，也是這個單詞嗎？

順便看了一篇文章，說最好不要接收原公司的counteroffer，同時找借口最好不要說money 而是說："It is a career opportunity I can not pass by."
