5/12/2011:
昨天給玫瑰剪枝，剪下來一些玫瑰枝條，今天索性把這些反正也得扔的枝條給插枝了。一些放在土裏插枝，我將其稱為土插，一些放在水裏，幹脆就叫水插吧。看看以後能不能蓄根。還種了一棵AZALEA，在房側的石頭花園裏麵。
5/13/2011: 把DOGWOOD的花樹剪枝整理了。
5/14/2011: 壘石頭牆，到處找石頭。壘起一半了。把MARIGOLD的小苗給移植到大盆裏和MAILBOX底下去。
5/15/2011: 石頭牆又壘起了一部分。把所有的樹與灌木都剪枝了。在後山的樹林中撒了一些野花籽。在後山石頭花園中種了ALYSSUM和COSMOS。把草坪上新近長出來的DANDLION挖出來了。
5/21/2011:MARIGOLD的籽已經出來了，有一寸多高了，趁今天早晨沒有雨，把苗移植到郵箱下麵。看能不能長大，長好。郵箱下的土好像不是很肥沃，還有其他已經長得很高的植物，所以也遮擋陽光。這些都是不利條件，就權當是實驗了。
北坡花園有一種AZALEA長得很好，花瓣是多層的，紅色很鮮豔。經查，品種是HERSEY RED. http://pics.davesgarden.com/pics/2008/05/31/claypa/0cc745.jpg

石頭牆基本壘好了，在花池中放了有50多袋的TOPSOIL。花池中種了4棵RODODANDRON （ENGLISH ROSEUM，PINK)）。

買了7棵 DOUBLE KNOCKOUT（紅色）玫瑰，3棵OREGOLD（黃色，有清淡香味）玫瑰。12棵NOVA ZEMBA RODODENDRON，準備種在車庫側麵停車位附近的花園裏。
6/1/2011
在車庫花園裏種了6 棵double knockout 。把原來的圓形柏樹叢給移植到其它地方去了。平整了花園，放了很多TOPSOIL。
6/3/2011
在SHOPRITE買了5棵Mister Lincoln 玫瑰。香味非常濃。正在計劃種在哪裏較為合適。
6、4、2011
把樹都給剪枝了。
把房山處一棵HYDRANGEA移植到RODODENDRON花園的頭上。希望長起來能為RODODENDRON遮陽。需要填土做起一個BED來。

種了12棵紅色的RODODENDRON （Nova Zemba）。做了花床，需要填TOP SOIL。
6.18.2011
經過很多天的努力，玫瑰花園終於基本做完了。用紅磚砌的圍欄，裏麵填了很多的黑色表土，裝有自動灌溉係統。一共種了9棵玫瑰。把6/1/2011 種的6棵DOUBLEKNOCKOUT 挖了出來，從新安排了一下，兩棵從園子其它地方移植來的玫瑰（類似DOUBLE KNOCKOUT），中間一棵是新買的PERFUME DELIGHT（有玫瑰香味）。下一步需要添加MULCH。今年在入冬前要修剪將調整所有花的高度使其一致。

終於把MR LINCOLN種上了。三棵種在門前的花園裏。兩棵種在了甬路邊上的花園裏。
今天檢查了5月插的玫瑰的枝條，好像沒成功。看來玫瑰插枝不太容易，隨隨便便地插枝不行。
方法，土壤，水分，陽光都有適合才行。

1). LAW FERTILIZER (HALTS SPRING PREVENT Crabgrass)
2). Early Starter (grass seads)
3). Rose Tone (5 lbs)
4). Holly Tone (32 lbs bag)

將馬麗金花籽種到花盆裏（BURPEE MARIGOLD BURPEE"S BEST MIX)
用了兩包。種了大約有60株。
土用的是去年用過的花土。從大盆裏倒進小花盒裏。
花盒置放在長方形塑料箱中，箱用廚房塑料薄膜覆蓋，膠帶粘緊，上麵用竹簽紮了很多小孔用以通風。據花籽袋上說明，應該於3月28日出芽，於5月15日開花。
今天在房子裏灑了殺蟲劑。
3/16/2012 （周五休假）
給玫瑰施肥（ROSE TONE）。5磅一袋全用完。最後月季沒有上肥。
將玫瑰剪枝打理。月季用花繩攏起整形。
三個小時。
3/17/2012 (周六）
在草坪上用耙子清理樹葉。完成部分草坪。
3/18/2012 （周日下午）
車庫門前坡上與門前RODODENDRON全部施肥；房後與房西側AZELEA全部施肥；
BLUE HOLLY全部施肥。 RODO、AZELEA、HOLLY用的是HOLLY TONE 的化肥（35磅一袋，多半袋用完）。
給門前HYDRANGEA施加增藍劑（ACIDIFIER）並澆水。5月18日需要追加（兩個月後）。
去年在草坪臨房西側種的三棵HYDRANGEA沒有施加ACIDIFIER。今年待觀察其花色。
將BLUE HOLLY移植加密（原來和鄰株有個一尺空隙）。原房主種植。現高3尺，徑寬4-5尺。成熟狀。根深蒂固，下麵有石頭，發掘很艱難。用鍬挖，用小齒耙子鬆動根徑與根須周圍的土，最後幾經力拔出土。根部完整。挖坑，植入坑內，充填原土，踏實。
在挖的時候，發現原來的花簽，上麵寫有：
Blue Princess Holly (Ilex x meserveas 'Blue Princess').
Height/Width: 12-15' (Height) by 8-10' (width). (注：實際徑寬約4-5尺）
Soil： Moist, well drained
Sunlight: Sun to partial shade
Watering: Regularly as needed
Fertilize: Spring
Prune: Following new growth flush
經對比，和去年在附近花圃買的HOLLY是一個品種。
工作約5個小時
注：今天早晨觀察，馬麗金已經出芽，雙葉芽，很健壯。塑料薄膜上一直積有水霧泡泡，保溫且保水。
每天早晨移到外麵，夜晚移到室內。袋子上說兩周發芽，結果一周就發芽了，肯定是由於用了塑料薄膜。

將BLUE PRINCE HOLLY （BOY）從現在的中間位置移植到邊上。BOY HOLLY不結紅果。並且與其它的HOLLY間距不合適。底部有個大石頭，移植有些費力，因此也費了好大的功夫。
將從上周移植的HOLLY（GIRL）上掉下來的一個杈栽到地下，試一試能否紮根。
從HOME DEPOT買了如下花籽：
1）。DWARF Bolero Marigold (2 bags) by Ferry-Morse (Bi-color/Bright Mahaogany Red. 2" Flower; Early Free Blooming)
2). American Giants Mix Marigold (2 bags) By Burpee (3.5" Flower; Sturdy Plants)
3) Bright Lights Mix COSMOS (2 bags) by BURPEE (Yellow/Orange/Red mixed colors; Easy to Grow)

Dwarf Bloero Marigold planted in used egg containers. Egg containers both sides used. Good seeds (bigger than Burpee's seeds; 2 bags about 40 seeds?)
American Giants Mix Marigold planted in used egg bontainers. A bags planted (each bag about 30 seeds?)
Zinnia planted in a carton box.

All marigolds planted on 3/26 germinated. Zinnia about to germinate. Zinnia planted in carton box did not grow well. The carton box absorb water. Plastic film cover was off. Today covered again with kitch plastic film wrap.

Bought a bag of potting soil, brand vigrow potting soil ($10.00/bag). transplanted the marigold into the big pots (two by frond door). six per pot. Burpee's Best Mix
Transplanted Zinnia into garden. Planted Marigold seeds directly into garden (Burpee's best mix).
Fertilized four double knockouts. These are shorter ones than the rest. Hope they will grow faster to catch up with the rest.
Applied Scott spring fertilizer to the lawn (with Crabgrass preventor)

Bought 5 bags of garden soil. Backfilled in the Holly bed to raise up (at the place where the two new planted ones are).
Transplanted the climbing rose by the garage window wall. Soil beneath is very sandy.
Worked on the rose beds to loosen soil around roots, making them airy. Made water retaining burm.
Applied GrubEx onto lawn.
5/4/2012 Transplanted two roses from rental to home into containers. Planted grass seeds at rental (Scott's Sun'n'Shade) mixed with starter fertilizer. Raked into soil. Tramped to pack soil.

Planted grass seeds (mixed with starter fertilizer) besides the Holly Flower Bed, in the backyard.

Worked at rental. Repaired the house foundation, built ties on flower bed. Dig out the landscaping stones, backfilled with garden soil (4 bags) and red mulch (4 bags). Planted Marigold.

planted grass at the patch besides garage.
Rooted about 20 Azalea (Girad's Hot Shot). In the container's center, smashed the plant section in hope of better rooting results (root may grow easier). On the side of the container, just stuck the cutting into soil.
Noticed that the rooted double knockout in the early April are budding with new growth leaves.
Rooted a few double knockout roses. The cuttings are smashed with hammer at the rooting end.

planted around the Mail Box: the Dihlias (4 bulbs), Zannia (seeds) and Asters (seeds), all bought from ShopRite.
Cleaned and losened the soild for the rose garden near garage.
