Chinese Company Sells Lunar Land and World Cup Air

A company in Beijing - the Beijing Moon Village Space Technology Co. Ltd - sold property and mineral rights on the moon.

As if that is not stupid enough, 33 people actually paid $1,788 to purchase a total of 48 acres from the real estate company registered as Lunar Embassy.

The rights to the property included both the land and mineral resources to 3 kilometers (abt 1.9 miles) deep.
