Don't Show Them Just How Great

Movies make money. Brokeback mountain, http://www.brokebackmountainmovie.com/home.html made money...$51M smackaroonies to be exact.

The director, Ang Lee, is Chinese, and was born in Taiwan - the movie showed there. The movie was also shown in Hong Kong.

However, despite the official China Daily Newspaper's front-page news report, "Ang Lee is the pride of Chinese people all over the world, and he is the glory of Chinese cinematic talent," the average Chinese responded with, "Uh, what movie?"  

They are not permitted to see it.
