Evening Breeze Caresses Trees Tenderly

(2011-11-11 20:01:14) 下一個

Song: Tenderly
Artist: Nat King Cole

The evening breeze caressed the trees tenderly
The trembling trees embraced the breeze tenderly
Then you and I came wandering by
And lost in a sigh were we

The shore was kissed by sea and mist tenderly
I can't forget how two hearts met breathlessly
Your arms opened wide and closed me inside
You took my lips, you took my love so tenderly

lol...Prof. Ni, thanks for your corrections. OK, I will add "es'instead".

My orginal intention was to keep the title short and simple, but not as short as just one word"Tenderly" , so I ignored the grammar and omitted "the" &"ed". I hesitated whether I should add +es to caress. I thought it was just a title. I did not have to pay attention to the grammar. Well, I was wrong. Glad you caught it. Thanks again. Good night.

The title should use past tense as in the lyrics. Otherwise, you might want to add +es to caress. :-)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Nathaniel Adams Coles (March 17, 1919 – February 15, 1965), known professionally as Nat King Cole, was an American musician who first came to prominence as a leading jazz pianist. Although an accomplished pianist, he owes most of his popular musical fame to his soft baritone voice, which he used to perform in big band and jazz genres. He was one of the first black Americans to host a television variety show, and has maintained worldwide popularity since his death.
