Songs My Mother Taught Me & Antonín Dvořák
Songs My Mother Taught Me is the title of a song by Antonín Dvořák which forms part of his Gypsy Songs cycle, (Cigánské melodie, B. 104/4, Op. 55/4), written for voice and piano in 1880. They are set to poems by Adolf Heyduk in German. Fritz Kreisler transcribed the song for violin and piano and performed it frequently. It was first published in 1914.
Antonín Leopold Dvořák was a Czech composer of Romantic music, who employed the idioms and melodies of the folk music of Moravia and his native Bohemia. His works include operas, symphonic, choral and chamber music. His best-known works are his New World Symphony (particularly the slow movement), as well as his Slavonic Dances, American String Quartet, and Cello Concerto in B minor. (Source: Wikipedia)
我偏愛這首曲子的小提琴版本,我還收藏了英語歌曲版本,可是我在我的博客裏找了半天也沒有找到英語歌曲版本,隻好作罷了。
謝謝貝卡分享。
