語言和數字
美語壇的網友ryu分享的《Something About Attitude--The Beauty of Mathematics〉非常的有趣，作者用英語的26個字母和26個數字，巧妙的排列組合，來闡明Hard Work，Knowledge和Attitude三者之間的關係。可謂是數學和語言的結合，有數學的精密，有語言的生動。雖然我對這些數字的不敏感，然而, 這不並不妨礙我對這篇文章的欣賞，這是一篇簡潔明了的勵誌好文，頗受啟迪，尤其喜歡文章的結尾：“While Hard Work and Knowledge will get you close, Attitude will get you there."
我也不由地想起了培根《論求知 Of Studies》的一段名言了：“Reading maketh a full man; conference a ready man; and writing an exact man.Histories make men wise;poets witty; the mathematics subtile;natural philosophy deep; moral grave; logic and rhetoric able to contend.Abeunt studia in mores.”何新的《論求知》也翻譯的非常好，一並附上：“讀書使人的頭腦充實，討論使人明辯是非，作筆記則能使知識精確。讀史使人明智，讀詩使人聰慧，演算使人精密，哲理使人深刻，倫理學使人有修養，邏輯修辭使人善辯。總之，“知識能塑造人的性格”。
