According to Wikipedia, Ballade pour Adeline is a 1976 song composed by Paul de Senneville and played by Richard Clayderman. Paul de Senneville composed the song as a tribute to his newborn daughter Adeline.

Richard Clayderman  is a French pianist who has released numerous albums, including renditions and arrangements of popular music, French chansons, and popular piano works of Beethoven, Chopin and Mozart.

Most of his recordings focus on popular music in general and orchestral arrangements of well-known romantic songs in particular, such as Yesterday, The Sound of Silence and Memory, rather than on Jazz or Classical Music.

然而《百度》卻對《水邊的阿狄麗娜》有更浪漫的詮釋，《水邊的阿狄麗娜》是理查德克萊德曼創作的一首鋼琴曲。巴黎郊外的一個小鎮，塞納河從巴黎市區緩緩流出，滋潤著這裏的一草一木。1977年某個秋天的傍晚，23歲的克萊德曼漫步在塞納河的岸邊，他已經為一個電視的配樂煩惱好幾天了，今天，他暫且拋開工作，讓美麗的塞納河給自己一個清晰的思路和寧靜的心靈。

一邊散步，一邊欣賞塞納河的風光實在是一件很愜意的事情，遠處，可以看到晚霞照耀下的巴黎的象征——埃菲爾鐵塔，中處，河對岸的法國梧桐樹已開始變黃，秋風把梧桐樹葉吹的沙沙的響，近處，走在這片寬闊柔軟的草地，心情格外舒暢。

克萊德曼就這樣走走停停，似乎忘記了時間的流逝，他已陶醉在這美麗的大自然風光當中。忽然，一個女子映入他的眼簾，一頭長長的秀發，清麗脫俗的氣質，半蹲著，迎著晚霞在河邊洗著紗布，動作是那麽的優雅，姿勢是那麽的美妙，神情是那麽的陶醉，仿佛不是在洗紗布，而是在彈奏一首優美的鋼琴曲。

此情此境，克萊德曼也呆了，他驚歎人與自然的完美結合，藝術家特有的激情此刻噴薄而出，他拿出隨身的口琴一氣嗬成表達了當時的情緒，這首曲後來改成鋼琴曲，成為電視的配樂，他命名為《水邊的阿狄麗娜》。

阿狄麗娜來自於希臘神話的故事。希臘神話裏有一個美麗的傳說。很久很久以前，有個孤獨的塞浦路斯的國王，名叫皮格馬利翁（Pygmalion）。他雕塑了一個美麗的少女，每天對著她癡癡地看，最終不可避免地愛上了少女的雕像。他向眾神祈禱，期盼著愛情的奇跡。他的真誠和執著感動了愛神阿佛洛狄忒（Aphrodite），賜給了雕塑以生命。從此，幸運的國王就和美麗的少女生活在一起，過著幸福的生活。

According to Wikipedia, Aphrodite is the classical Greek goddess of love, lust, and beauty. She was also called Kypris and Cytherea after the two places which claimed her birth. Her Roman equivalent is the goddess Venus. Myrtle, dove, sparrow, and swan are sacred to her.

昨天晚上在《美語世界》論壇，聽到rosejyy2000帖的這個鋼琴曲，美妙動聽，讀了理查德克萊德曼創作這首鋼琴曲的情景時，好喜歡，就搬來了。也深深地體會到：藝術來源於生活，卻高於生活，生活是藝術的源泉和靈感。

水邊的阿狄尼娜呀, 你是如此的純真飄逸。鋼琴家為你譜曲，詩人為你作詩，歌唱家為你放歌，藝術家為你作畫。。。。。。

那每一個迷人的音符裏，都跳躍著你的倩影；那每一個閃爍的樂章裏，都銘刻著愛的印記。樂不醉人，人自醉。。。。。。

Richard Clayderman (born Philippe Pagès on December 28, 1953, Paris) is a French pianist who has released numerous albums, including renditions and arrangements of popular music, French chansons, and popular piano works of Beethoven, Chopin and Mozart.

Most of his recordings focus on popular music in general and orchestral arrangements of well-known romantic songs in particular, such as Yesterday, The Sound of Silence and Memory, rather than on Jazz or Classical Music.

He is known to alter many famous pieces of music such as Für Elise. His music is generally played with an orchestra. This accompaniment is usually with James Last's orchestra.
