I am trying to understand the following two sentences --

Don't you ever ask them why,
If they told you, you would cry,

As a man I do not want to know too much. Remember what happened to the man in the movie called The Man Who Knows Too Much? (From which comes the song Que Sera Sera)

The reason is that I cannot handle the truth!
