從曆史觀出發

I hadn't been interested in politics or political jargon for a very long time.

Now I find myself debating whoever,  whenever and wherever on everything from  vaccination  to climate change, from TCM to trade wars.

Dozens  of on line encounters later I came to a conclusion/revelation that I am a strong believer in a historical perspective.

You see:

Earth was formed 4.65 billions years ago

100,000 years ago Homosapiens walked out of Africa.

40,000 years ago Neanderthals still roamed the world.

400 years ago Thomas Cayote introduced/imported forks to British eaters.

100 years ago the first airplane was made.

It MAKES SENSE to have a historical perspective.

5 years ago I was asked which country is the most and which is the least racist on Earth

"America!" I said.

Of course America is both the most and the least racist country on our planet.

It has committed numerous unthinkable crimes against  the racial minorities over the past two centuries.  At the same  time it is also the first western country to have a black president.

We should think of the Chinese government and its ruling party in a historical perspective too.

Across the whole political spectrum there must be a lot of scholars, social media influencers and politicians who bash, defend or praise China on the internet. Below are two examples:)
