有人說世界終於火，
    有人說冰。
從我對欲望的體會

譯者注：Robert Frost 的名詩 “Fire and Ice" 較他的其它詩歌更現代。它隻有短短九行，每行八個或四個音節。且基本遵循抑揚格。全詩共壓三個韻-ire, -ice, or -ate。為了警示，但一如既往，Frost 並不給出明確答案。翻譯隻為拋磚引玉和學習。

From what I’ve tasted of desire               a
I hold with those who favor fire.                a
