I emigrated from China and I love this country and the people here. Personally I support Affirmative Action and am against all sort of discrimination.
I do support COMPLAINT AGAINST HARVARD UNIVERSITY regarding hidden racial discrimination practice in college admissions process against Asian American.
We should ban all sort of policy based on racial quota, racial stereotype, racial profiling because that’s against the principle of Affirmative Action which many forerunners fought for over 40 years.
Let us look at the Affirmative Action bill signed by President Kennedy on March 6, 1961 as Executive Order 10925 which required that government employers "not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, creed, color, or national origin" and "take affirmative action to ensure that applicants are employed, and that employees are treated during employment, without regard to their race, creed, color, or national origin".
Clearly, the essence of Affirmative Action is “not discriminate because of race, creed, color, or national origin" . We appeal Harvard University to drop the considering factors on racial quota, racial stereotype, racial profiling in its college admission process. We appeal all higher education institute drop any practice based on racial quota, racial stereotype, racial profiling in its college admissions process.
Somebody may argue that we need racial quota to help African American. It is proven that racial quota doesn’t help and there is the better way to help those disadvantaged. (see my next paper)
