English chat room

I have been searching a platform to practice small talks for a long time. Finding a environment to speak English is not hard but most are work related. I tried Facebook, LinkedIn, twitter but none worked for my purpose. I just need a chat channel where people don't know each other and can chat about topics with common interest. By the way, I did find something two years ago. I had to left because someone tried to be friends with me and wanted to video chat. After I refused, the person got really mad. I guess other people have different purposes than me when they join chat room. I will continue to search. It's not urgent just something good to have. it's about time for me to get up and prepare breakfast and prepare food for a celebration gathering at noon for mid August festival.
