美國的小提琴家約夏貝爾演奏這首舒伯特的小夜曲據說是創作於舒伯特去世前半年內，采用的是德國詩人萊爾斯塔勃的詩篇，表達的是夜晚年輕男子對心愛的姑娘的愛慕之心。它和同期創作的另外13首歌一起被匯編成集，取名為天鵝之歌。此曲可為鋼琴，小提琴，吉他，或曼陀鈴等演繹。
