查了幾處都說，聖誕老人的座駕是由九匹馴鹿 (Reindeer)牽引的，最早在1823年的詩“A Visit from St. Nicholas" (又名"The Night Before Christmas")中出現了八隻馴鹿的名字；1939年"Rudolph, the red-nosed Reindeer"才姍姍來遲，但一橫空出世就肩挑重任成了領頭鹿！
