Google一下hamburger的定義，Wikipedia是這麽說的：

“A hamburger (or burger for short) is a sandwich consisting of a cooked patty of ground meat, (usually beef, but occasionally pork, turkey, or a combination of meats) placed between two buns 。。。。”

不信Wikipedia？好！普林斯頓大學的WordNet（英語詞匯數據庫）是這麽說的：

“hamburger, beefburger, burger： a sandwich consisting of a fried cake of minced beef served on a bun, often with other ingredients”

其它的參考：
Wiktionary：

“Hamburger： A hot sandwich consisting of a patty of cooked ground beef, or a meat substitute, in a sliced bun, sometimes also containing salad vegetables, condiments, or both.”

當然hamburger也可以隻指漢堡包中間夾的那片牛肉。不管怎麽說，從學術的觀點說hamburger是一種sandwich不能算錯吧？

Google一下hamburger是不是sandwich的問題， 起碼有一半以上的回答是Yes. 這個至少可以說， 以為hamburger是sandwich不是中國人的誤解。

最後說一句，當然現實生活中大家都知道漢堡包和其它sandwich們的區別，就像你若是想點扁豆你不會隻說蔬菜。
